Scan to PDF

Take a photo of a document, and you're done: The scanner detects the page in the camera view, captures it automatically, straightens it, and creates a clean PDF. Multiple pages, four filters, no app on your phone, or use a QR code from your computer.

No upload. Detection, straightening, filters, and PDF creation happen on your device. Only when you use the QR code from your computer is the finished PDF stored with us for 30 minutes so your computer can retrieve it.

In three steps: Scan to PDF

  1. Open the camera and hold the page in view.
  2. The page is detected and captured automatically, then add more pages.
  3. Choose a filter, check the order, and save the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I scan a document as a PDF with my phone?

Open this page on your phone, tap “Open camera,” and hold the page in view. As soon as the frame is steady around the page, it is captured, straightened, and cropped automatically. Hold additional pages in view one after another, then tap “Done” and “Save PDF.”

Do I need an app?

No. Everything runs in your phone's browser, on iPhone and Android. Nothing is installed, and no account is needed.

How do I get the scan onto my computer?

Open this page on your computer and select “Scan with phone”: A QR code appears. Scan it with your phone's camera app, photograph and save the pages. The PDF then appears on your computer. For this, the file is stored on our server for 30 minutes and then deleted.

Can I scan multiple pages into one PDF?

Yes, up to 50 pages at once. At the bottom of the screen, you can see a strip of captured pages. In the overview, you can rotate, remove, and reorder pages.

Is my scan uploaded?

No. Detection, straightening, filters, and the PDF are created on your device, and the photos never leave it. Only when using the QR code from your computer is the finished PDF stored with us for 30 minutes so your computer can retrieve it. Text recognition is offered after the result and runs through our server.

Why is my scan crooked, dark, or distorted?

Keep the entire page in view, ideally on a dark, solid background with light from above. The “Document” filter removes shadows and brightens the paper; “Black and white” is sharpest for plain text. If the frame is wrong, tap the page in the overview and drag the corners to adjust it.

How do I make the scan searchable?

A scan is initially an image. After saving, the page offers text recognition, then you can search, select, and copy the text.

Can I also use photos from my gallery?

Yes. “Choose photos” accepts JPG, PNG, and iPhone photos; each photo is detected, cropped, and filtered like a camera capture.
