Frequently asked questions

What happens to a scan without a text layer?

The tool detects this when you drop the file and starts text recognition right away; the language is detected automatically. You will see a notice explaining why. Once the text is ready, you can continue as usual. For mixed documents, only pages without text are recognized.

What do the slides look like?

Each page becomes a slide in the page size. Images, lines, and shapes are placed underneath as a background image so the slide looks like the PDF. Each line of text is placed above it in its own text box with font, size, bold, italic, and color-you can edit, move, or delete the text.

Can I edit images and lines?

No, they are part of the background image. A PDF describes lines and shapes, not slide objects; recreating them individually would result in slides that barely resemble the PDF. To replace an image, add a new one on top.

Why doesn't the font match exactly?

Fonts embedded in the PDF cannot be transferred to the presentation. We map them to Arial, Times New Roman, or Courier New, depending on whether the font is sans serif, serif, or typewriter style. Size, bold, italic, and color remain.

Is my file uploaded?

Yes. Your file is transferred encrypted, processed in its own folder, and deleted immediately afterward, even if conversion fails. Up to 200 pages per file.
